What is Truth?
My soul screams
The sound echoes through the abyss
The sound echoes through the abyss
The weight of the darkness freezes me
While my search for Truth blinds me
Just at the edge of my vision I see it
The movement of the white dove appears
For just an instant the darkness drips from my heart
Allowing me to feel hope of knowing once again
But the light is gone just as quickly
Replaced by the empty smiles of religious mannequins
The darkness claims me once again
My soul screams

Thanks for the kind words about my poem. Sometimes I think that in our search for truth and meaning that it is so easy to feel overwhelmed by the feelings of hopelessnes. I am so glad that God is still there even when life feels empty.
