Theology on Tap

This guy in Wisconsin is holding a nine week Bible Study at a tavern in Wisconsin and Guiness is even sponsoring it. How cool is that? This is a great example of the church going "into" the world and bringing God's Kingdom to their neighbors in their own culture. Amen! Check it out here:

So my question was always: Why, when pouring a "Black-n-Tan," does the Guiness stay on top? You'd think being the darker beer it would be heavier (at least that's logical to me). But the answer is this: Very few pubs actually pour Guinness on tap. That's because Guiness is carbonated with nitrogen, which is much lighter than carbon dioxide, used to carbonate 99%+ of beers and soft drinks.

In fact, Guiness in a can has a little nitrogen cartridge inside it that releases when you open it.

So, there's your Guiness trivia for the day. . .
