Some notes from the sermon this morning

A pastor's job is not to do all the ministry. It's to see that all the ministry gets done through God's people.

A pastor's job is to prepare and release people to do the ministry of Jesus.

If you are a Christ follower, then you are called to the ministry.

"The measure of our success as a church is not necessarily how many people we have but what is happening to the people who are here, whether they be few or many." - Jerry Cook

What lies at the root of all legalism is a distrust of the life of Christ in people.

Releasing people to minister means setting them free to meet other people's needs whenever and however they can.

Ministry is serving people.

Ministry isn't about bringing people to God; it's about bringing God to people.

Pastors are not called to be wardens of the flock, they're called to be shepherds.

Peace!
