My Own Worst Enemy

On my 7 year sobriety day I am so grateful that I don't have to feel like this anymore. These are the lyrics to a song by the band Lit called My Own Worst Enemy...

Can we forget about the things
I said when I was drunk
I didn’t mean to call you that
I can’t remember what was said or what you threw at me
Please tell me
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard
And I’m sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you’re gone
It’s no surprise to me I am my own worst enemy
Cuz every now and then I kick the living shit out of me
The smoke alarm is going off and there’s a cigarette
Still burning
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard
And I’m sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you’re gone
Please tell me why
My car is in the front yard
And I’m sleeping with my clothes on
I came in through the window last night
And you’re gone

Wow... when you compare that to Zoe Girl, they're quite a bit different, huh? It is great that you have a new song now.

Do you want to know what happened to me this morning on my way to work? Of course, my radio was tuned to 98KUPD...Arizona's Real Rock! That song was played just as I was turning into the parking lot at my work. I sat and listened and just laughed to myself. I've heard the song before but it spoke to me today about how I used to feel like shit all the time with those wonderful morning hangovers.

Thanks again for your words.
