The number 7
I am not a Bible Scholar, but I have heard about this before and I intend to research it more now that it has some significance for me. The number 7 in the bible is the number of completion.
My actual birthday was the 26th of September and I turned 46. My 7 year sobriety date is today, the 28th. When my daughter gave me a birthday card she had a lovely letter to me inside that talked about the bible and the number 7. She said she had been talking to Hannah about it and that for me it is completion, that I am healed.
Hannah also gave me a word this morning in an email that I would like to share with you all. Here it is...
I wanted to tell you congratulations on your accomplishment today of making it for 7 years. It's amazing. For me, 7 years symbolizes a lot. It's the number of completion in the bible, and when there's 3 of them in a row, then it's the number of God. I feel like today is the day that shows how God has healed you and how your soberness has been completed and will not ever change. The healing and the change has been completed completely. It's a very huge thing and I have always had the confidence in you that you will always continue to be sober, but celebrate today.

Praise to God for His mighty power at work in your healing! ... and ... credit to you for working with Him to accomplish your sobriety. Your Mom is thankful & proud. Love you! Happy 7th!
I talked to Shannon about it for a couple reasons. The biggest was that she put you under her heroes section on her myspace, but she only gave you credit for a couple of years. Seven is definitely more than a couple.
She is definitely maturing and changing a lot, but I wanted to give her the comfort of your healing as well - in case she ever has an ounce of doubt. I know that she's working on trying to build your relationship and she loves you a whole lot - even when she's not the best at showing it.
Of course bro! Congradulations! God has really done an amazing thing in your life, and I know it's forever. Shannon has talked to me about your sobriety too, and encouraged me about my dad becoming sober. Bless ya bro, you guys are more a blessing in my life than you know.
Congratulations!!! Big day and accomplishment!

My best on the happening of both dates.
Happy Birthday and Praise God on your 7th year! May His Spirit continually empower, guide and protect you in your daily battles in life. We are victorious in Jesus! Best regards to your family, too.
i want to share this line that i heard from a Christian play, "We may have lost some battles, but we will win this war!!!" God bless, Sir Keith.
